BOYS CLUB

Wednesdays: 7:00 p.m.

PIONEERS FOR CHRIST (Boys Clubs)

Church of God has a responsibility to reach and keep boys for Christ. Pioneers for Christ is a tremendous opportunity for this responsibility. Our objective is to reach and keep boys involved in the local church and in the kingdom of Christ.

Pioneers for Christ (PFC) is a program designed to meet the physical, spiritual, mental, and social needs of boys ages 3-12.  The ultimate goal is to help boys recognize and assume their place as disciples (followers) of Christ.  It is a program to mentor young boys into men of faith.  Boys we reach today will be the leaders of tomorrow!

Our Boys Clubs are broken down into two age groups: 3-5 years of age and 6-12 years of age.

MOTTO:

Philippians 4:13  "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

 THE COVENANT:

I am not perfect, I have not reached the goal.  I have not finished the race, I refuse to give up.  I will forget those things in the past that have stopped me from obtaining that goal.  I will continue daily following Christ with the living hope that one day I will be like Him.

THE CREED:

One in purpose
One in Faith
One in Christ

PFC presents an exciting journey that will take boys through becoming a Pioneer for Christ to the challenge of becoming a Boy of Valor. On the journey down the "Warrior's Path" they can complete different gates. As they apply themselves to these gates, they find that they can do all thing through Christ who strengthens them.

This ministry is designed to embrace many vital areas of boys' lives. It helps them to become better Christians, sons, neighbors and citizens. Spritiual emphasis includes the following:

1. Bible Study
2. Scripture Memorization
3. Understanding Our Church of God Heritage, Faith and Commitment
4. Understanding How to be a Good Steward
5. Understanding How to be a Good Church Member

As they press on toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ, they will be building a foundation that will make them strong and live eternally.

Spring & Fall Rendezvous

Two Rendezvous' are held each year; one in the Spring and one in the Fall.  This event is for all PFC Clubs in South Georgia and is held in Tifton, GA at the Church of God Campgrounds.  This is an exciting camping trip.  There are lots of activities from which to choose.  Some of them include:  Fishing Tournament, BB Gun Shoot, Archery, Knife Throwing, Pinewood Derby Race, Hatchet Throwing, Tug of War, Log Cut, Best Campsite, Indian Run, and Campfire Cooking.

We have an awesome group of boys who have a great time together.  They have a Bible lesson and then come together for a game of kick ball, football, or soccer.
